I have been a member of the Southern Headache Society (SHS) since its inception in 2011. I have attended every annual meeting either in person or virtually. I have been an invited speaker multiple years and am the most recent co-director of the SHS annual meeting (2025) as well as serving in an advisory capacity for the upcoming meeting (2026). I am an active member of the SHS Education Committee, developing standards for the Lifetime Achievement Award and selection of the yearly scholarship winners. It would be an honor to continue contributing to the Society as a formal member of the board.

I am the owner and director of a headache specialty practice. I have been the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer for over two decades and have committed my entire professional life to the treatment of individuals suffering from headaches. I am the Director of Headache Wellness Center Research and have conducted 100+ studies as a Principal Investigator involving nearly all current migraine therapies. Along with my team and staff, I have successfully managed my practice financially and navigated the frequently changing economic landscape in neurology.

My current interest is in enhancing Advanced Practice Providers (APP) education and integration into the SHS. I have recently published an article and abstracts on APP training and onboarding and presented my findings at national congresses. I have worked collaboratively with APPs across multiple areas as an employer, coworker, mentor, research partner, and scientific co-author.

While proudly a private practitioner, I am involved in many academic activities. I have served on the Bylaws Committee and the Practice Management Committee of the American Headache Society (AHS). I am an ad hoc reviewer for Headache. I have participated in Headache on the Hill. I am a Fellow of the AHS (FAHS). I hold an inaugural certification in Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) and serve on the UCNS board Examination Committee.
